About

Hi Ya’ll- I’m Megan and am a southern gal who has lived in the Orlando area with my husband Johnnie and our family for about 25 years. Our 4 kids are all grown-up now, and it is so much fun to watch them do what they do and even more awesome to call them our friends!

With my job of kid-raising done, I am a full-time store manager for Brighton Collectibles and a “young” Megs to our 4 grandkids. I am exploring my creative side with this blog, likely inheriting my love for the written word from my mom and oldest sister, who were both English teachers. I would be lying if I said I didn’t have some fear and trepidation of being vulnerable and transparent in sharing my heart and thoughts, but now is the time for me to seize the moment.

I married my college sweetheart, Johnnie almost 35 years ago, and he cheers me on & keeps me laughing so I don’t take myself or life too seriously. We have been in some type of church ministry as long as we’ve been together, and believe me, we have seen & experienced a lot! God has worked a mighty redemptive story in our own marriage, and we currently serve as leaders in marriage ministry at our church.

I believe there are many women out there who long to belong to something bigger than themselves and grow in Grace & Truth. I invite you on this journey with me to find hope for each day. I have a heart for women of all ages, and young moms especially in need of a little bit of “composed grace” in their lives. I pray we can grow together as we more fully understand that our identity is in Christ and not our circumstances. I hope we can laugh at ourselves and with each other & find joy in the everyday things. I want us to explore the Truth of God’s Word and gain practical help and strength for each day. I want to share some of the things I have learned on my own faith journey and “comfort you with the comfort that I’ve received myself” from the Lord. (2 Cor 1:4)

So, grab  your coffee and a Bible….and maybe a muffin or something
